5. Insert the mains plug into a power socket.

6. Press the POWER button to switch the

appliance on.

7. Use the FUNCTION button to select the ice

cream mode.

8. Press the START/STOP button to begin the ice

cream preparation. The current process time is

shown on the display.

9. The ice cream preparation stops automatically

when the ice cream is ready. The maximum

preparation time is limited to 90 minutes. An

acoustic signal sounds when the ice cream is

ready.

Note: When ice cream preparation is

complete, the keep-cool function switches on

automatically to prevent the ice cream from

melting too quickly. The keep-cool function

lasts 60 minutes and runs the compressor at

predened intervals. After this time, the display

returns to the setting mode.

Tip: Regularly check the consistency of your

ice cream. If the desired consistency has been

reached before the program is over, you can stop

the process manually at any time by pressing the

START/STOP button again.

REMOVING THE ICE CREAM

1. When the ice cream is ready, switch o the

appliance by pressing the POWER button and

remove the plug from the power socket.

2. Open the lid by turning it counterclockwise.

There will be a slight friction sound from the

motor axle, which is normal.

3. Take the ice cream container out of the

appliance and carefully pull the stirring rod out

of the ice cream. If the ice cream container has

frozen up slightly and cannot be lifted easily

out of the recess, wait a few minutes before

removing it.

4. Use a spatula or spoon made of wood, plastic

or silicon to transfer the ice cream to a suitable

bowl without scratching the container.

MAKING YOGURT

1. Pour 600 ml milk/soya milk in a pot and boiling

it up to at least 90°C to sterilise. (This step is

not necessary if you are already using sterilised

milk - e.g. UHT milk)

Tip: The more fat the milk contains, the thicker

the end product will be.

2. Pour the hot milk into the ice cream container

and let it cool down below 40°C.

3. Then add 50 ml of natural yogurt/soya yogurt

that contains live, active cultures or mix yogurt

starter culture powder into the milk instead

- read the description on the yogurt starter

package to determine the correct amount.

4. Remove the stirring rod from the lid, it is not

used for making yogurt.

5. Close the lid by turning it clockwise to the

locking position.

6. Insert the mains plug into a power socket.

7. Press the POWER button to switch the

appliance on.

8. Use the FUNCTION button to select the yogurt

mode.

9. Press the START/STOP button to start the

yogurt mode.

The program will run 8 hours, this time cannot

be adjusted. During yogurt preparation the

remaining hours are ashing on the display.

When the yogurt mode is complete an acoustic

signal sounds, then the unit starts refrigerating

to keep the yogurt fresh until the appliance is

switched o by the user.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

Problem Possible Reason Solution

After the ice cream preparation,

the ice cream container is stuck

and cannot be removed.

There were drops of water between the

freezing chamber and the ice cream

container that were not wiped o and

have frozen solid.

Wait a few minutes before lifting

the ice cream container.

The ice cream container cannot

be placed in the freezing

chamber of the appliance.

Excessive dirt or deformation of the ice

cream container could be the reason.

Clean the freezing chamber

and the outer surface of the ice

cream container. If this does

not solve the problem, contact

customer service.

The motor doesn’t start stirring

anymore when starting the ice

cream preparation.

The electrical contacts on the underside

of the motor or on the opposite side of

the appliance could be dirty or covered.

Wipe the electrical contacts

clean. If this does not solve the

problem, contact customer

service.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

• Always unplug the appliance from power

before cleaning, assembly or disassembly.

• Never immerse the appliance or power cord in

water. Do not let the electrical parts come into

contact with moisture.

• Refrain from using scouring pads, abrasive

cleaners or steel wool.

• Disassemble the lid by pressing the two tabs

on the underside of the motor unit toward

each other and pushing them through the

openings of the transparent cover.

• The transparent lid, stirring rod and ice cream

container can be cleaned with a damp sponge

and some detergent.

• Do not put the ice cream container and motor

in the dishwasher! They are not dishwasher-

safe!

• Wipe the housing of the unit with a damp

cloth.

• Dry all parts thoroughly with a soft cloth

before assembling and storing the appliance.
